FTND/Heatherton 1991:6 items, total 0–10; not original Tolerance Questionnaire; Brazil smoking protocol 2020
The FTND edition revises FTQ and was studied in cigarette smokers. Do not presume equivalent scoring for every nicotine product or electronic device. The cited Brazilian protocol and full rubrics still require primary-source checking in this review.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.
Documented parameters
- How soon after waking do you smoke your first cigarette?
- Do you find it difficult not to smoke where smoking is prohibited?
- Which cigarette of the day is most satisfying (or would be hardest to give up)?

- Do you smoke even when you are so ill that you spend most of the time in bed?
4/4 reference cases checked. Numerical tests are not clinical validation.
Relationship with cancer research
General context — relationship to be defined
A resource for general clinical contexts. This edition does not assign a specific oncological relationship; selecting it for a study requires a justified question, population and purpose.
