PSI/PORT (Pneumonia Severity Index)

Classifies adults with community-acquired pneumonia into five 30-day mortality risk classes using 20 demographic, clinical, laboratory and radiologic variables.

Arithmetic checks are available. Independent clinical review is pending. Inclusion in the catalogue does not constitute clinical validation.

PSI/PORT/Fine 1997: class I rule and stage 2 scores I–V; not CURB-65

PSI/PORT was developed for adults with community-acquired pneumonia and 30-day mortality risk. Low classes do not mean no risk or an automatic discharge decision. Eligibility criteria, pneumonia definition and conditions for outpatient management must follow the clinical protocol.

General context — relationship to be defined

A resource for general clinical contexts. This edition does not assign a specific oncological relationship; selecting it for a study requires a justified question, population and purpose.
