PERC criteria
Eight clinical criteria, all negative in a low-pretest-probability patient, make PE risk lower than the risk of investigating.

PERC/Kline 2004: 8 negative criteria with low prior suspicion; no automatic decision
PERC 2004 was derived in emergency patients evaluated for pulmonary embolism and tested in low- and very-low-risk groups. All eight criteria must be simultaneously negative, including age < 50 years, pulse < 100/min and saturation > 94% in the original study. The rule does not establish zero risk, and its applicability depends on prior population selection; temporal definitions and inclusion criteria must be checked in the version used.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.

General context — relationship to be defined
A resource for general clinical contexts. This edition does not assign a specific oncological relationship; selecting it for a study requires a justified question, population and purpose.
