Method · Limits of application
AUASI/Barry 1992, IPSS 7 items 0–5, total 0–35; quality of life 8th item separate
IPSS/AUA quantifies urinary symptoms and their evolution, but the total does not establish benign prostatic hyperplasia as the cause. The original validation included people with BPH and controls. Wording, time window, quality of life and limitations of the language version must be preserved and checked separately.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.

Relationship with cancer research
General context — relationship to be defined
A resource for general clinical contexts. This edition does not assign a specific oncological relationship; selecting it for a study requires a justified question, population and purpose.
