International Prognostic Index 1993: 5 factors, 0–5; not NCCN-IPI or R-IPI
A classic prognostic index for adults with aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma, developed before treatment in historical doxorubicin cohorts. Distinguish classic IPI, age-adjusted IPI, R-IPI and NCCN-IPI. Historical probabilities do not demonstrate calibration for all subtypes or current treatments.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.
Documented parameters
- Age > 60 years
- Serum LDH above the upper limit of normal
- ECOG ≥ 2
- Ann Arbor stage III or IV
- More than 1 extranodal site
4/4 reference cases checked. Numerical tests are not clinical validation.
Relationship with cancer research
Specific oncological application
A prognostic index for aggressive lymphomas. Subtype, treatment and validation era must correspond to the study.
Applications: Survival and quality of life
