Standard MET 3.5 mL O₂/kg/min; kcal/min=MET×3.5×kg/200; Compendium 2024 reference
METs in the 2024 Adult Compendium correspond to activities for adults aged 19–59 years; data from people aged ≥60 years were excluded from that edition. Standardized values, including estimated values, do not measure individual expenditure. Children, older adults and special clinical conditions require sources and methods suited to those populations.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.

Relationship with cancer research
General context — relationship to be defined
A resource for general clinical contexts. This edition does not assign a specific oncological relationship; selecting it for a study requires a justified question, population and purpose.
