Method · Limits of application
Westley 1978: 5 factors, 0–17; croup
The Westley 1978 publication assessed 20 children aged 4 months to 5 years, hospitalized for acute croup with persistent stridor at rest, in an intervention trial. That range describes the original cohort and does not by itself determine universal limits for use of the score. The adopted scoring table and severity classification require specific checking.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.

General context — relationship to be defined
A resource for general clinical contexts. This edition does not assign a specific oncological relationship; selecting it for a study requires a justified question, population and purpose.
