Quantifies the adult’s self-reported habitual tendency to sleep in everyday situations.
Conditions of use
The standard adult version from 1997: eight items, total 0–24. Requires all responses, an authorized translation and a licence, even when no fee is charged.
Limits and context
Does not by itself identify the cause of sleepiness, measure changes over hours or determine fitness to drive. The source does not recommend use in severe cognitive impairment; children have a separate version.
