ECOG and Karnofsky
Maps Karnofsky to ECOG performance status, two functional-capacity measures used to guide treatment and select patients for oncology clinical trials.

ECOG 0–5/Oken 1982; ECOG-ACRIN KPS correspondence 90–100/70–80/50–60/30–40/10–20/0
The ECOG-ACRIN table presents a commonly used correspondence between ECOG and Karnofsky, among several possible ways to map the scales. They describe functional capacity and help define trial populations; conversion alone does not establish eligibility for a treatment. Functional assessment and clinical protocol criteria must be preserved.
Conditions of use
Check the population, units, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and version in the original source. A result alone does not establish a diagnosis, discharge decision or prescription.

Specific oncological application
Functional scales used in oncology and trial criteria. Equivalence between scales does not replace direct assessment or protocol criteria.
